Questions & Answers
Question:
Why was this response in the Q&A to the 45mg vs the 60mg ques that they are the same when the boxes clearly say that they are 45 vs 60 How are they the same? ... How is this product different from Revolution, other than the concentration of selamectin (45mg vs. 60mg?) They actually contain the same concentration of Selamectin as our updated images reflect. There is no difference other than Revolution is marketed to the US and Canada and Stronghold is marketed to the UK, AU and other parts of Europe.
Answer:
If you look at the box carefully it says 60mg/ml on Revolution box. This doesn't mean each tube contains 60mg Selamectin. It rather means the formula is 60mg Selamectin for each ml. Each Revolution tube contains 0.75 ml liquid not 1 ml. Therefore there is 45mg Selamectin in each tube. In contras due to regulations in Europe and some other markets, Stronghold displays what is in tube (45 mg selamectin in 0.75 ml tube) rather than the formula ( 60mg per ml). Both products contains 45 mg active ingredient in 0.75 ml liquid in each tube.

Question:
Is there any other skin conditions that are helped in cats? I noticed that the Revolution (stronghold) for dogs says it helps mange.
Answer:
Stronghold/Revolution treats mange for dogs, but this is not the case for cats. So Revolution/Stronghold for cats doesn't treat mange.
Question:
I noticed that the revolution and stronghold also are for heartworms. does the cat have to be tested to see if they have heartworms in order to use this product? If they haven't are there any side effects to using it if they do have heartworms? thanks
Answer:
Stronghold prevent heartworms but it doesn't treat it. So if you have suspicion that your cat has heartworm, it would be good idea to get your cat tested. If she/he has heartworm you would need a different medicine to treat it. This product wouldn't have any extra side effect if they have heartworms, but it won't treat it either.
